Team Leader (Gambling Prevention Team)

Location: West Midlands

Working Hours: 37 hours (full-time)

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: £31,030 - £38,150

Make a real difference in your community.

Are you passionate about helping people overcome gambling-related harm and leading a team that changes lives?

We support people and communities to overcome the harm caused by alcohol, drugs and gambling. We're looking for an experienced and motivated Team Leader to join our Gambling Prevention Team and help deliver high-quality, person-centred support across the West Midlands.

This is a fantastic opportunity to combine your leadership skills with your passion for supporting people, ensuring individuals affected by gambling-related harm receive the best possible care.

About the Role

As Team Leader, you will support the Service Manager in the day-to-day delivery of the Gambling Prevention Service, providing leadership and guidance to a team of Gambling Practitioners. You'll ensure services are delivered safely, effectively and in line with contractual requirements, while promoting a culture of continuous improvement and person-centred practice.

Working closely with local partners and stakeholders, you'll help develop services that are responsive to community needs and support positive outcomes for people affected by gambling-related harm.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead, motivate and support a team of Gambling Practitioners through effective supervision, coaching and performance management.
  • Monitor service quality and performance, ensuring contractual targets, KPIs and accurate records are consistently achieved.
  • Support the Service Manager with the day-to-day operational delivery and ongoing development of the Gambling Prevention Service and deputise in their absence.
  • Build and maintain effective partnerships with local agencies, commissioners and community organisations to improve access to support.
  • Promote best practice, safeguarding and person-centred approaches, ensuring individuals receive high-quality support that meets their needs.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
