About The Role
We are looking for a supportive and motivated Team Manager to join our team in Hastings. This role is all about making a real difference to people’s lives.
As a Team Manager, you will:
- Ensure people receive the right support in a way that works for them, by:
- Keeping support plans up to date
- Ensuring plans reflect what people want and need
- Helping individuals build confidence, learn new skills, and live as independently as possible
- Support and guide your team to deliver their best work, including:
- Assisting new staff with settling in
- Ensuring everyone has the necessary training and support to feel confident in their role
- Collaborate closely with the management team to maintain operational efficiency, including:
- Planning rotas
- Recruiting new team members
- Ensuring sufficient staffing to meet people’s needs
- Lead by example, fostering:
- Positive relationships
- Clear communication
- High standards of safety and respect
- Support for individuals to lead fulfilling lives
- Maintain good records and conduct regular quality checks to uphold high standards of support.

About You
You don’t need prior management experience—this could be your first step into a leadership role, and we will support you every step of the way.
We will help you build confidence in:
- Leading a team
- Providing day-to-day support
- Conducting monthly support and development meetings
- Carrying out quality checks
- Developing team members
Do You Have
- Around two years’ experience in social care, ideally in:
- Supported living
- Residential services
- Community services
- (Understanding of managing risk and recognising extra support needs)
- A Level 3 qualification in:
- Health & Social Care
- Leadership & Management (or be willing to pursue it with our support)
- Knowledge of key legislation, including:
- Care Act
- Mental Capacity Act
- Safeguarding protocols
- Proficiency in using systems like:
- Word
- Excel
- Outlook
- Teams
- Care management systems
Are You
- Highly organised, skilled in accurate record-keeping, and aware of the importance of documentation and confidentiality
- A kind, positive, empathetic listener and communicator who genuinely cares for people and remains flexible in approach
- Eager to take on a leadership role where you can make a real impact on people’s lives
Location & Hours
You will be based at our service in Hastings, with additional time spent:
- Working in the community
- Attending meetings or training as needed

This is a full-time role (39 hours per week), with a flexible schedule to meet operational demands, including:
- Helping plan rotas
- Ensuring safe and adequate staffing levels
- Participation in the on-call rota, which may occasionally require evening or weekend attendance
