Full Time, Fixed Term - 12 months
A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time temporary team manager to join the Children in Care Teams in Bristol’s Through Care Service, for one year. The role offers a starting salary of £55,529.
The Through Care Service
The Through Care Service, made of the children in care teams and the 16 service, supports children and young people aged 0-25 and their families, through their journey in care and as care leavers.
The Child in Care Service
The Child in Care Service is made up of seven teams. You will support five social workers, two family support workers and an administrator and work closely with the other six managers.

Our Approach
In Through Care we recognise the importance of the child’s whole network in building security and safety. We believe coming into care is an extension of the network our children already have, and a large piece of our work is to maintain this with a focus on children returning home when it is safe for them to do so.

The role is primarily office based in order that you are available to support your team and colleagues.

For permanent Bristol City Council employees, this post will be a secondment.
For employees who are currently on a fixed term contract with Bristol City Council, the secondment must not extend beyond the end of the fixed term period to ensure there is a substantive post to return to.
If you are currently a casual worker or a member of an employment agency (currently working with Bristol City Council) this post will be a fixed term contract.
