About The Role
Position: Team Manager Sector: Fashion/Homeware Retail
As a Team Manager, you’ll embody Matalan’s values and behaviours, drive sales, and lead a high-performing, dynamic team. Key responsibilities include:
- Coaching and motivating staff as part of the store management team
- Covering store operations in the absence of the Store Manager
- Using customer feedback to enhance the shopping experience
- Leading sales initiatives and identifying new opportunities
- Implementing seasonal layouts and localised visual merchandising
- Opening, closing, and managing store operations

About You (Requirements)
To thrive in this role, we seek candidates with:
- Proven experience in Fashion or Homeware Retail (similar managerial role)
- Strong leadership skills, including:
- Confident communication
- Ability to engage and motivate teams
- Experience providing leadership in previous roles
- Knowledge of Visual Merchandising (VM)
- Commercial acumen to identify sales opportunities and drive innovation
- Operational expertise—understanding retail processes while cost-conscious
- Adaptability under pressure in fast-paced environments
