Pro Team Manager Opportunity

Pro currently has an exciting opportunity for a Team Manager to be part of our Insurance Services team. The job holder will assist the Client and Underwriters in delivering a high-quality client service.

The role formally reports to Pro Global but sits within a London-based insurer within the Underwriting Operations function. Pro operates a flexible hybrid working policy and this role would be based in our client London office 3 days a week.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

  • Oversight of USA roles including Submission clearance for new risks, Preparation of quote, certificate and policy documentation, Risk data capture in the London insurer's policy administration system, Support the production of any regulatory reporting
  • Key UW Metrics - Monitor completion statistics for defined data elements, identify where these are not being completed and ensure that data is accurately captured
  • Electronic Platforms (Insurance only) - ensure activity completed in platforms is reflected in client systems
  • Financial Close - ensure bookings are up to date and oversee any data remediation exercises required as part of the close process
  • Workload Management – Maintain oversight of department operations including risk submission, submission flow management, endorsements, renewal tracking, peer review
  • Underwriting Metrics – Monitoring and sharing of Underwriting dashboards across the underwriting team
  • Provide direct line management for a team, with responsibilities to include appraisals, 1:1’s and objective setting

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree level preferred, although not required
  • Previous Team Leader/Supervisory experience is essential
  • 3 years of relevant team management experience in the insurance market is essential
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to use discretion in working to resolve process issues that ensure the success of our established global outsourcing models
  • Possess a continuous improvement mindset
  • Ability to work flexibly in order to complete duties of the role, particularly during peak underwriting periods
  • Proven ability to prioritise and organise effectively
  • Proven ability to work with speed and accuracy, particularly under pressure
  • Experience supporting work allocation and working to SLAs/tight deadlines
  • Proven experience of building and maintaining good working relationships
  • Committed to developing a career in Operations
