Team Manager
Team Manager (Permanent) – £27,034 per annum – Full-Time (38 hours per week)

About The Role
As Team Manager at Matalan, you’ll be a key role model, embodying our Matalan Values and behaviours while driving sales and leading a high-performing, energetic team.
Responsibilities:
- Coaching and motivating staff as part of the store management team.
- Taking responsibility for store operations in the absence of the store manager.
- Improving customer experience through feedback-driven improvements.
- Driving sales targets, identifying opportunities, and enhancing store layouts seasonally.
- Opening and closing the store, ensuring smooth daily operations.
- Up-skilling team members and providing regular, constructive performance feedback.

About You
We’re looking for someone with:
- Retail experience in Fashion or Homeware.
- Strong communication and leadership skills—you inspire and engage teams with ease.
- A track record of leadership (e.g., training others, managing conflicts, or improving processes).
- Knowledge of Visual Merchandising (VM).
- Proven ability to identify sales opportunities and implement innovative ideas.
- Operational expertise in retail—balancing efficiency with cost sensitivity.
- Adaptability—comfort working under pressure with evolving demands.
