About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and experienced professional to support the Service Manager in the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care within the Team. The post holder will play a key role in the day-to-day operational management of the service, ensuring safe, effective, and responsive care within available resources and agreed governance frameworks.
The successful candidate will provide visible leadership, offering mentorship, guidance, and supervision to staff, while fostering a positive and inclusive team culture. You will be responsible for reviewing staffing levels and skill mix, supporting workforce planning, and ensuring staff are appropriately supported to deliver excellent standards of care.
Working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary and multi-agency environment, you will promote effective communication across teams and care settings, enhancing patient outcomes and experience. You will also support the management of devolved budgets and be responsible for the procurement of goods and equipment in line with Trust procedures.
A strong focus on infection prevention and control, as well as improving patient environments, is essential to this role. You will champion person-centred care, equality and diversity, and partnership working with patients, carers, and stakeholders, ensuring concerns are addressed and relationships are strengthened.

Person-Centred Care
- Ensure safe, effective planning and coordination of service user care, including referral, and discharge processes.
- Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary and multi-agency teams to support seamless care pathways and maintain regular caseload reviews.

Leadership & Staff Management
- Provide visible, supportive leadership to promote high standards of person-centred care.
- Lead, motivate, and develop staff through supervision, appraisal, and induction processes.
- Foster a positive learning culture, supporting staff wellbeing, equality, and professional development.
- Manage staffing resources effectively, including rotas, leave, and sickness management.
- Address performance and conduct issues in line with Trust policies and support investigations where required.
Operational Management
- Ensure effective delegation and delivery of safe, high-quality care across the team.
- Monitor standards, taking action where performance falls below expected levels.
- Support financial and resource management, including budget responsibilities and procurement processes.
- Ensure compliance with governance, audit, and record-keeping requirements.
Service Improvement
- Support data collection, audit, and analysis to inform service improvements and quality outcomes.
- Promote continuous improvement by reviewing practices, updating procedures, and identifying more efficient ways of working.
