Team Manager – Children in Our Care
Lead, Inspire and Make a Lasting Difference
Salary: £51,356 – £55,612, Full Time 37 Hours Per Week
Location: Burnley
Are you an experienced social work leader passionate about improving the lives of children in our care? Lancashire County Council is looking for a dedicated Team Manager to lead a team of social care professionals committed to achieving the very best outcomes for children and young people.

What You'll Do
- Lead and support a team of social workers and practitioners delivering services to children in our care.
- Ensure children receive timely, high-quality assessments, care planning, and support.
- Drive excellent outcomes for children, young people, carers, and families.
- Provide strong leadership, supervision, and professional development to your team.
- Work collaboratively with partners to ensure children access the right support at the right time.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, safeguarding, and excellence in practice.

What We're Looking For
We're seeking a qualified and registered Social Worker with:
- A recognised Social Work qualification (CQSW, DipSW, BA Social Work, or equivalent).
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Significant leadership experience within Children's Social Care.
- Experience managing complex safeguarding and care proceedings.
- The ability to inspire, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.

You must be registered (SWE) to be appointed as a Social Worker or have applied to register with the Social Care Council.
Interview to take place on 27th August 2026
