Location: Barnsley – Hybrid (minimum 3 days onsite required) Pay Rate: £40 per hour
About the Role
Liquid Personnel is recruiting a skilled and experienced Team Manager to lead a dynamic children’s social work team within its client’s Children’s Services department in Barnsley. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident leader with a strong safeguarding background and a passion for driving quality and performance.
Responsibilities
You’ll manage a team of 7 social workers, including 1 Advanced Practitioner, in a fast-paced environment with key responsibilities including:
- Lead and manage a children’s social work team
- Oversee complex safeguarding cases and risk management
- Support staff in delivering high-quality assessments and interventions
- Drive performance and meet service targets
- Promote a child-centred, strengths-based approach
- Collaborate with multi-agency partners
- Provide reflective supervision and professional development

Qualifications & Experience
To be successful, you must have:
- Proven experience in children’s social care management
- Strong understanding of safeguarding legislation and best practice
- Ability to lead, motivate, and develop staff
- Excellent communication and decision-making skills
- Commitment to improving outcomes for children and families
- Comfortable working in a hybrid model (minimum 3 days onsite required)
