Overview

The London Borough of Harrow is seeking to recruit an experienced and motivated Team Manager to lead our Out of Hours Team delivering a high-quality out-of-hours safeguarding service for children and families.

This is a critical leadership role, ensuring that urgent safeguarding concerns are responded to promptly and effectively outside of core hours. You will provide management oversight of complex and high-risk situations, supporting your team to make timely, proportionate, and defensible decisions to safeguard children and young people.

Working within a fast-paced and unpredictable environment, you will collaborate with key partners including Police, Health, and other emergency services to deliver coordinated responses when it matters most.

As part of our ongoing improvement journey, you will play a key role in embedding a relationship-based, strengths-focused approach across the service, enabling clear risk analysis, balancing strengths and concerns, and informing effective safety planning in time-critical situations.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
