Team Manager – Family Safeguarding Team (Permanent)

Location: London Borough of Lambeth (Hybrid working available)

Salary: £56,436 – £59,574 + London weighting (dependent on experience)

Annual Retention of £4,700

Contract: Permanent

Pro Social Partners are proud to be working in partnership with Lambeth Council to recruit an experienced Team Manager to lead a Family Safeguarding Team within Children’s Social Care.

Lambeth has embedded the Family Safeguarding model across its services, placing relationship-based, strengths-led, and multi-disciplinary practice at the centre of everything it does. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a confident and values-driven leader to shape practice, support staff, and deliver meaningful outcomes for children and families.

The Role

As Team Manager within the Family Safeguarding Team, you will:

  • Provide strong operational leadership and day-to-day management of a team of Social Workers and Advanced Practitioners.
  • Ensure high-quality, child-focused practice across assessment, safeguarding, and child protection work.
  • Offer clear management oversight, decision-making, and direction on complex cases.
  • Embed and champion the Family Safeguarding model, ensuring strengths-based and trauma-informed practice is consistently applied.
  • Lead and chair strategy discussions, complex meetings, and contribute to multi-agency safeguarding forums.
  • Drive performance, quality assurance, and continuous practice improvement within the team.
  • Support staff through regular reflective supervision, appraisal, and professional development.
  • Work closely with Service Managers and partner agencies to deliver safe, timely, and effective interventions.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
