Salary: From £27,034 per annum Working Pattern: Full Time (38.0 hours per week) Contract Type: Fixed Term

About The Role

As a Team Manager at Matalan, you’ll play a pivotal role in leading our stores by embodying our Matalan Values while optimising sales and guiding high-performing teams. Your responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the Store Manager when they are unavailable
  • Coaching and motivating team members
  • Integrating customer feedback to enhance the shopping experience
  • Implementing seasonal layouts and visual merchandising initiatives
  • Opening, closing, and managing day-to-day operations of the store

About You

To thrive in this role, you should:

  • Have previous experience in Fashion or Homeware Retail, ideally in a management or supervisory capacity
  • Demonstrate confident communication skills, including ability to engage and motivate teams
  • Provide evidence of leadership experience
  • Possess a strong understanding of Visual Merchandising (VM)
  • Show proven sales-driving ability, with a propensity towards innovation and strategy
  • Be knowledgeable about operational retail processes and cost Awareness
  • Remain adaptable under pressure and open to change
