Salary: £47,181 - £52,413 per annum
Type: Permanent
Work Pattern: Full Time (37 hours per week)
Location: Hybrid Base: Meadow House, Littleworth, NG18 2TB

Nottinghamshire County Council seeks a self-motivated leader to take on the Team Manager (Governing Body Services) role, guiding a team that supports school governors with up-to-date legislative advice, policy guidance, and professional development. You’ll also ensure strong communication between governors and senior Local Authority Officers, fostering a supportive governance environment.
In This Role, You Will
- Lead & Inspire: Manage a dynamic team delivering expert support to school governors.
- Stay Informed: Keep abreast of legislative/policy changes impacting governance—locally and nationally.
- Communicate Effectively: Work closely with senior Local Authority Officers to share insights and address challenges.
- Support Development: Provide training and guidance for governors to ensure best practice.
- Promote Excellence: Champion evidence-based governance across Nottinghamshire’s schools.

Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- A relevant qualification at Level 4 or above (e.g., education, social care, child development, or family systems).
- School Governance or Safeguarding experience preferred.
- Evidence of continuous professional development.
- Strong understanding of:
- Governance frameworks in education systems.
- Risk management and budget management principles.
- Safeguarding safeguards in education contexts.
