Liquid Personnel are proud to be supporting the London Borough of Barking & Dagenham Council in recruiting an experienced Team Manager to join their Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) on a permanent basis.

About the Role
As Team Manager within the MASH service, you will provide operational leadership and management to a team of social workers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality safeguarding services to children, young people and their families.

You will play a key role in decision-making at the front door of children's services, ensuring effective threshold application, robust risk assessment and timely interventions that promote positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage and supervise a team of social work professionals within the MASH service
- Ensure high standards of practice, performance and case management across the team
- Work closely with Assessment, Family Support and Safeguarding teams to effectively manage case transfers
- Provide reflective supervision, coaching and support to team members
- Maintain oversight of safeguarding decisions and ensure appropriate threshold application
- Promote excellent social work practice through professional leadership and guidance
- Support continuous service improvement and quality assurance activities
- Foster strong partnerships with internal and external multi-agency professionals
About You

Essential Requirements
- Social Work qualification (Degree, DipSW, CQSW or equivalent)
- Registered with Social Work England
- Significant experience working with children, young people and families
- Management experience within a Children's Services setting
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation, thresholds and best practice
- Excellent analytical, assessment and report writing skills
- Right to work in the UK
