Team Manager – Supported Living Services
Summary
We’re seeking an experienced and confident Team Manager to lead and inspire a team supporting individuals with learning and physical disabilities in two supported living services across Neath. This 6-month, fixed-term, full-time (37 hrs, Monday–Friday 9am–5pm) role focuses on person-centred support, team development, and fostering a positive, inclusive team culture.

Core Responsibilities
You’ll lead a team of Support Workers to deliver high-quality, person-centred care in Supported Living. Key accountability areas include:

Service Delivery:
- Align daily operations with RISCA, Care Inspectorate Wales, and Social Care Wales standards.
- Promote independence and build community connections for individuals with complex needs.

Team Leadership:
- Recruit, supervise, develop, and support your team’s wellbeing.
- Lead rotas, care planning, referrals, and team progression.

Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure strict adherence to safeguarding, health & safety, and regulatory frameworks.
- Manage data securely via IT systems for rotas, reporting, and records.

Collaboration:
- Work closely with Registered Managers, families, external professionals, and partner organisations.
- Participate in on-call coverage as needed to support other services.

Skills & Experience Required
- Proven leadership in adult social care (focus on learning/physical disabilities preferred).
- Strong IT and organisational skills (rotas, data entry, reporting tools).
- Desirable: Knowledge of HR practices, care standards (e.g., Ofsted, QCS).
- Safeguarding & compliance expertise (understanding of Welsh care regulations).
- Qualifications:
- QCF/NVQ Level 2/3 in Health & Social Care (progression to Level 4 desired).
- Practical essentials:
- Full UK driving licence + access to a vehicle (mileage reimbursed).
- Flexibility and proactive mindset to adapt to change.
