About The Role

As a Team Manager at Matalan, you’ll be a key role model for our stores, embodying Matalan’s Values and behaviours while optimising sales and leading a high-performing, energetic team.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Coaching and motivating team members within the store management team.
  • Taking responsibility for store operations in the absence of the Store Manager.
  • Using customer feedback to shape a fantastic shopping experience.

Key Tasks:

  • Drive sales targets and uncover sales opportunities.

Requirements

To join our retail team, we’re looking for:

  • Experience in similar roles within Fashion or Homeware Retail.
  • Strong communication skills with proven ability to engage and inspire others.
  • Leadership experience—share success stories or examples.
  • A strong understanding of Visual Merchandising (VM) and how it impacts sales.
  • Knack for identifying opportunities and driving creative solutions.
  • Working knowledge of retail operations, cost control, and efficiency.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to pressure and change.
