About the Role

Role Title: Team Member 1 Salary: £38,514.55 per annum Working Hours: 3 shifts on, 3 shifts off, 7pm–7am Location: Long Lane, Aintree, L9 7BQ

The Goal of This Role

A Team Member 1 supports the Manufacturing Team by efficiently executing tasks to achieve our factory’s operational goals. Your role ensures:

  • Products are produced to agreed specifications
  • Safe, high-quality, and cost-effective manufacturing
  • A right-first-time approach is maintained
  • Collaboration with other Team Members (including ATM), following safety, quality, and behavioural guidelines

Key Deliverables

Your success will be measured by your ability to:

Efficiency & Performance

  • Ensure adherence to all safety and quality standards
  • Optimise line output by setting up machines, reviewing line performance data, and coordinating material movements

Process Compliance

  • Plan and perform plant start-up/shut-down following standard checklists
  • Maximise plant efficiency while minimising TOS (Time Off Schedule) and waste (effectively recycling products)

Food Safety & Quality

  • Routinely complete food safety and quality checks on the production line
  • Actively use online PQA systems to meet quality standards

Communication & Training

  • Effectively communicate operational information to colleagues and other shift teams
  • Demonstrate critical tasks to support and underpin our site training programme

Your Requirements

Essential Qualifications

  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2)
  • Isolation & Lock-off training completed
  • Pladis Induction completed

  • Communication: Clear, concise contributions in team briefings and meetings. Active listening.

  • Continuous Improvement: Actively seeks feedback, coaching, and learning from the Team Manager, while elective up-skilling based on business needs
  • Hygiene & Safety: Ongoing commitment to pladis’ safety, quality, and hygiene standards
  • Autonomy: Works with minimal supervision, thrives in a factory environment, and takes initiative

The Application Process

    • Swift Comprehension (aptitude test)
    • Workplace English test
  2. Practical Assessment + Competency-Based Interview (75–90 minutes combined):

    • An on-site practical assessment
    • A competency-focused interview exploring our values and your experience
