We have been Denmark’s favourite bakery for over 20 years, serving handmade breads, pastries and cakes, single estate coffee, great breakfasts, premium salads, Danish open-faced sandwiches and freshly made baguettes. We opened our flagship Bakery in Piccadilly Circus in December 2016, and now we’re continuing our expansion in London.
Responsibilities
- Make all guests feel welcome and treated like entering your own home—with warm greetings and farewells
- Share your passion for food and drinks by explaining menu options and assisting customers in making great choices
- Ensure all orders are entered accurately on the till
- Process payments promptly, ensure transactions are completed correctly, and exchange the right change
- Handle all cash securely and accurately balance shift monies at the end
- Track stock, monitor wastage, and notify the manager of shortages to allow for re-ordering
- Keep your work section and areas clean, tidy, set up, and well-stocked at all times
- Maintain public areas—check and clean them regularly, ensuring a constant supply of soap, toilet tissue, and paper towels
- Follow the cleaning schedule, completing daily duties efficiently and to brand standards
- Report any faulty equipment or machinery to the Manager
- Maintain high standards of appearance, uniform, timekeeping, and behaviour
- Keep kitchen and storage areas clean and tidy, adhering to Ole & Steen Food Safety and Health & Safety standards
- Prepare and assemble food as required

Requirements
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage and interact with a diverse clientele
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks simultaneously
- Attention to detail
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Manual dexterity to safely operate coffee equipment and handle hot beverages
- Tolerance for noisy, fast-paced environments
