Location: Muswell Hill
Compensation: £13.40 / hour
Description
As a Team Member in our Food to Go department at Planet Organic, you will be the face of our mission to bring health and sustainability to our community. You will play a key role in preparing our fresh, organic food offering to the highest standards. Working in a fast-paced retail environment, you'll be responsible for food preparation, assembling meals, maintaining excellent food safety standards, and ensuring our displays are well stocked with high-quality products. Alongside food preparation, you'll deliver friendly, knowledgeable customer service and work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure the department runs smoothly, occasionally supporting other areas of the store when needed. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about fresh food, healthy eating, and organic produce, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and take pride in producing high-quality products. With opportunities for growth and development, you'll be supported from day one as you begin your journey with Planet Organic.
Please note that our Muswell Hill store will be closed for a short period from 16 July while it undergoes refurbishment. During this time, a temporary pop-up store will be available just a few minutes down the road. As a result, all work trials for this role will be conducted at another Planet Organic store. The location will be confirmed during the phone interview stage.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
