Responsibilities

Your goal is simple: Deliver outstanding product quality and an effortless customer experience, you’ll help us grow while growing your own skills in a supportive, fast-paced environment. You will contribute to increasing sales through excellent service and teamwork.

  • Customer Excellence: Providing an excellent experience to each and every customer, ensuring needs are exceeded at all times.
  • Product Quality: Assisting in the preparation and service of all products, ensuring the correct standard and quality is met.
  • Team Support: Assisting your colleagues whenever and wherever possible to promote excellent teamwork.
  • Safety & Standards: Ensuring all production processes, practices, and Food Safety controls are followed.
  • Operational Accuracy: Performing all payment and cash handling procedures in an accurate and consistent manner.
  • Proactive Support: Following reasonable instructions from management and carrying out miscellaneous duties as required.

Daily Duties:

  • Retail

  • Greeting every customer in a friendly, timely manner and recognising our regulars.

  • Demonstrating fast, efficient service so customers are never kept waiting.

  • Offering suggestions and using great product knowledge to assist with requests.

  • Dealing courteously with complaints and reporting them immediately to the manager.

  • Acting as the final quality check on all food and drinks before they are served.

  • Communicating with the team regarding stock levels to keep displays looking full.

  • Ensuring correct packaging and merchandising materials are used.

  • Producing great quality coffee and drinks in line with our recipes.

  • Production

  • Minimising wastage by correctly maintaining, storing, and following recipe guidelines.

  • Monitoring the quality of bread and incoming deliveries to ensure they are shop-ready.

  • Preparing our product range to the correct guidelines.

  • Ensuring no sub-standard items are ever put on display or served.

  • Following Food Safety controls: keeping prep areas clean, labelled, dated, and organised.

  • Barista

  • Preparing the coffee range and maintaining the grinder/setup to company standards.

  • Conducting daily coffee checks and weekly in-store coffee audits (including coaching).

  • Following all opening, closing, and cleaning procedures for the coffee machine and area.

  • Ensuring all coffee products are dated, rotated, and meet temperature controls.

  • Assisting with general retail shifts and duties as required.

  • General

  • Following shop opening and closing procedures.

  • Adhering to Health & Safety, Food Safety, Fire Safety, COSHH, and company policies.

  • Wearing the uniform with pride and maintaining high personal hygiene.

  • Performing all cleaning duties to ensure the shop is left to agreed standards.

  • Working safely and reporting any accidents or faulty equipment to the manager.

  • Assisting with the training of new team members when instructed.
