About the Role

As a Team Member, you’ll be at the heart of everything:

  • A mix of cooking, customer interactions, and creating exceptional experiences
  • Ensuring every dish you prepare and serve reflects the quality of our menu while meeting strict food safety and hygiene standards
  • Maintaining a clean and organised café, from kitchen equipment to customer tables

Qualifications & Requirements

To apply, you must be 18 or older.

  • Core Responsibilities:
    • Keeping kitchen equipment, utensils, and workspace spotless and organised
    • Serving customers with speed, efficiency, and care
    • Adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations, including accurate record-keeping
    • Implementing FIFO (First In, First Out) stock rotation to maintain food freshness
    • Handling deliveries and ensuring safe, organised food storage
    • Operating in line with all Tesco Café policies and procedures
    • Preparing, cooking, and serving high-quality menu items exactly as intended
    • Ensuring food availability and consistency with café standards
    • Managing customer complaints and escalating as necessary to the Café Manager
    • Staying informed about new business initiatives and updates
    • Frequently clearing, sanitising, and maintaining café tables and spaces
