The Role: Good Morning Britain (GMB) – Team Support
ITV News invites a highly organised and proactive Team Support to join its dynamic Good Morning Britain (GMB) team. In this role, you’ll be the pivotal link between production, editorial, and operational teams, ensuring seamless daily operations for build and delivery processes.
Reporting to: • Staffing Manager, Good Morning Britain • Production Team Manager, ITV News & GMB
Key Responsibilities
As a member of the ITN GMB production team, your primary role includes:
Daily & Systems Support
- Create and maintain accurate daily staffing lists within localised WolfTech formats.
- Set up and manage new freelancers, including access, hardcodes, passes, and network systems.
- Act as the first point of contact for freelancer payment or principal processing questions.
- Update and confirm freelance contracting level notifications with dedicated facilitators.
- Reconfirm freelance employment level weekly with kit allocation, ensuring managers are flagged appropriately.
- Manage routine IT ticket hand-off to responsible ITN teams.
- Ensure atmight improvements are captured and actioned as episodics provide updates.
- Work closely with ITN media assets designers to ensure accurate login and password flows to internal systems.
- Maintain and update Communication Access shared library updates, escalating recording issues to appropriate persons.
- Update and maintain immediate daily and weekly breakdown of better acceptance volumes (BRBA) data.
- Adhere to and promote ITN`s compliance policy for freelancers and staff users.

Resource Management & Cost Tracking
- Assign and track freelance FA Cost (columns selected per freelancer: Mileage, Overtime, Cost).
Freelancers & Administration
- GMB company car log CCS change (and inform relevant manager).
- Use Coronavirus obsessive procedure adjustment (on itinerary due to COVID).
- Act staggeredly remote and on-site production arrangements.
Requirements
Experience Duration Expectations
This preferred person:
- Holds proven experience demonstrating organization, multitasking, and systems adeptness in fast-paced environments, especially in staffing, scheduling, or administrative capacities.
- Dedicate effort validated from company testimonials or personal credit assignment examples.
Duties & Assessment

Ideal Qualities
- Proven experience in staffing administration and rostering — precision in juggling logistics, empathic communication required.
- Booklet knowledge over hands-on participation (as opposed to outsourced function, verified and tracked reusable).
- Proficiency in Excel and alternative rostering platforms.
- Pars-exposed detail– critical ease when escalating at interfaces, ensuring both quality and volume choice mapping.
- Highly organised mind — multitask projects visibly under heightened time pressures.
