At Nuffield Health, everything we give our patients, members and customers starts with our people. Your passion, your expertise and your drive to make a difference enable us to deliver exceptional connected healthcare and fitness experiences.
We're looking for an experienced Tech Lead to play a pivotal role in re-platforming our Fitness & Wellbeing technology ecosystem. This is a high-impact role in which you'll shape technical direction, uphold engineering standards and deliver scalable solutions that support millions of member interactions.
We're transforming the entire digital experience for members and employees across our Fitness & Wellbeing estate. We’re working towards a best-in-class member app that offers a personalised experience, where new joiners sign up through a fully paperless journey, members book, buy and pay for every service digitally, manage their whole account themselves and receive relevant, well-timed recommendations. Behind the scenes, employees will be able to work entirely digitally, with member management and payments automated end to end.
Could you play a key role in that?
As our Tech Lead – Fitness & Wellbeing you’ll:
- Provide technical leadership across the workstream, spanning Digital, Integrations, Salesforce and Data Engineering.
- Own and define low-level solution designs, including integration with third-party systems.
- Act as the accountable lead for engineering quality, consistency and delivery pace across multiple workstreams.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Delivery Managers and third-party partners to align technical approaches and manage dependencies.
- Ensure all solutions adhere to Nuffield Health’s enterprise architecture and software engineering standards, with clear end-to-end design across platforms.
- Provide technical guidance and constructive feedback to engineering teams, promoting best practice and high standards, without line management responsibility.
- Identify and mitigate cross-workstream technical risks.
- Support with service management transition, ensuring solutions are stable, maintainable and operationally ready.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
