Role Overview

We are looking for a collaborative and people-focused leader to guide and develop a high-performing team of Salesforce Engineers. Working closely with the Engineering Manager, you will help shape requirements, design, develop and deliver technology solutions and strategies, while ensuring effective day-to-day operational support. This role combines people leadership, technical expertise and strategic delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Team Management

    • Line manage and mentor a team of Salesforce engineers, supporting performance, progression, and technical capability development
    • Foster a strong engineering culture focused on quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement
    • Provide technical guidance, coaching, and oversight across multiple initiatives
    • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, within and outside the Engineering and Technology team, to drive alignment and collaboration between technology and business needs.
  • Technical & Delivery Ownership

    • Drive agreed elements of the engineering roadmap, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery against agreed priorities
    • Act as the technical design authority for data solutions, ensuring alignment with engineering standards and best practices
  • Platform Engineering

    • Enable a continuous service improvement culture, identifying and implementing opportunities to improve the status quo.
    • Support the definition and implementation of engineering best practices, including coding standards and development methodologies, across the team.
    • Promote the platform delivery roadmap to the team to ensure currency of the platform and adherence to policies and standards though innovation, enhancements and maintenance.

  • Technology Governance and Assurance
    • Working with the Engineering Manager, develop and enforce policies, standards, and procedures to ensure the security, compliance, and integrity of technology systems and data.
    • Maintain and report on the software risks and associated controls for the Salesforce Platform.
    • Create or feed into management reporting, as needed, to provide appropriate governance and control to the function.

Role Details

  • Role: Fixed Term Contract to 31/12/2027
  • Location: Preferably Leeds/West Yorkshire
  • Salary: £65000 to £75000
