Led by Tom Lorimer and Dr Nadine Kroher, this PhD-heavy team of 10 combines academic rigour with commercial instinct to ship real-world AI systems.
Job Description
As the first Technical Account Manager at Passion Labs, you will bridge the gap between PhD engineers and enterprise clients. You’ll translate complex ML architectures into commercial value, scoping solutions for diverse industries from music discovery to precision agriculture. This is a high-ownership role defining the commercial function of a growing AI lab.

What You Will Do
- Translate complex AI and machine learning concepts into clear commercial value propositions for decision-makers across our account portfolio.
- Scope technical solutions and coordinate delivery between clients and a distributed engineering team to ensure project success.
- Support pre-sales efforts with technical credibility, identifying expansion opportunities and building the lab’s commercial muscle from the ground up.
The ideal candidate
- 4+ years of experience in technical account management, solutions consulting, or pre-sales at a cloud provider, AI consultancy, or B2B SaaS company.
- Strong conceptual understanding of cloud architectures, APIs, and machine learning deployment patterns without needing to be a hands-on coder.
- Proven track record of owning client relationships, managing complex project deliveries, and contributing directly to revenue growth in ambiguous environments.
