About The Role
We are seeking a Technical Account Manager to build long-term client partnerships, expand opportunities within existing accounts, and align technology solutions to evolving business needs. This role is well suited for someone who takes initiative with clients, communicates confidently across stakeholders, and adapts quickly while balancing proactive account growth with responsive service support.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through managed service partnerships, acting as a trusted point of contact for ongoing needs and opportunities
- Identify and pursue upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts, developing tailored proposals that align technical solutions with client goals
- Provide strategic guidance on IT infrastructure, cloud services, cybersecurity, data management, managed support, virtualisation, and connectivity
- Partner closely with Managed Services, procurement, finance, and technical teams to support service delivery and resolve client issues effectively
- Monitor client satisfaction, track account KPIs, and provide regular updates to internal stakeholders on account health, risks, and growth opportunities
- Contribute to revenue growth by recommending commercially sound solutions and managing client budgets in line with agreed goals
- Identify opportunities to improve service delivery and internal processes, collaborating with teams to implement practical improvements
- Complete relevant health and safety training and follow appropriate guidance related to the role.

Required Skills & Abilities
- Strong experience in technical sales, solution selling, consultancy, and account management within the technology services or managed services sector
- Ability to build trust quickly, communicate clearly, and guide client conversations toward practical business outcomes
- Comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy, using sound judgment to manage both planned and emerging client needs
- Commercial awareness with the ability to balance client value, service quality, and revenue objectives
- Working knowledge of cloud services, cybersecurity, data management, managed support, virtualisation, connectivity, and technology subscriptions
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving client environment while maintaining follow-through and visibility across stakeholders
- Professional, discreet handling of sensitive internal and external information

Other Requirements
- Good standard of education
- Professional certifications in IT, sales, or service management (for example ITIL, CISSP, or CompTIA Security+) are advantageous
- Background in service delivery within a technical environment is preferred
