Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience in a customer-facing role working with stakeholders to architect, develop, or maintain cloud solutions in cloud environments.
- 3 years of experience managing technical teams, or serving as a team lead/mentor for technical teams.
- Experience leading technical conversations with customer stakeholders and managing escalations.
Preferred qualifications:
- MBA or Master’s degree in a Management, Technical, or Engineering field.
- Experience managing teams focused on cloud operations, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or technical account management.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (e.g., sales, support, product) to drive customer outcomes.
- Understanding of cloud computing concepts (e.g., networking, Identity and Access Management (IAM), compute, storage) and operational frameworks (e.g., Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), Developer Operations (DevOps), SRE).
- Ability to attract and develop talent, with a track record of coaching team members to improve performance.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Google Cloud Consulting ensures that our customers successfully adopt and integrate Google Cloud’s technology to transform their businesses. As a TAM Manager, you will lead a team of technical advisors who serve as the critical link between Google Cloud and customers. You will lead and coach a team of technical advisors dedicated to ensuring customers derive maximum value from their Google Cloud investments. You will drive a culture of proactive advisory, guiding your team to focus on platform health, architectural stability, and operational efficiency. You will empower your Technical Account Managements (TAMs) to serve as trusted technical partners who align Google Cloud capabilities with their customers critical business objectives, engaging effectively with stakeholders ranging from C-level executives to Site Reliability Engineer (SREs) and developers.

In this role, you will have technical and operational excellence across customers Google Cloud footprints. You will build influential partnerships with engineering, product, sales, and customer engineering leadership to accelerate the adoption of architecture standards and elevate platform stability. You will collaborate with peer leaders to scale best practices, fostering a collaborative environment that prioritizes shared success and continuous improvement across the global regions.

Responsibilities
- Recruit, coach, and mentor a high-performing team of TAMs, driving a culture of proactive technical advisory focused on platform health, stability, and operational efficiency.
- Guide the execution of technical governance frameworks and health reviews, ensuring team consistently identifies risks and drives architectural improvements across their accounts.
- Serve as the primary point of escalation for technical tests, partnering with support and engineering to resolve complex reliability issues and restore customer confidence.
- Drive operational excellence within team, ensuring high-quality delivery of technical workshops, architectural reviews, and production readiness assessments.
- Partner with sales and customer engineering leaders to align technical activities with account growth strategies, demonstrating the business value of the TAM service, aggregate customer feedback and technical trends from team to provide actionable insights to product and engineering, influencing feature prioritization and requests.
