Overview
A specialist insurer is seeking a Technical Accountant with Solvency II experience to support finance and regulatory reporting. The role sits within a close-focused team, delivering quarterly insurance results across Solvency II, IFRS 17, and UK GAAP, with exposure to audit, controls and reporting improvement work.
Key Responsibilities
- Support quarterly close for Solvency II and insurance reporting
- Produce and review reporting packs and financial results
- Analyse movements and explain variances
- Investigate and resolve reporting differences across systems
- Support audit and external review processes
- Work with Finance and FP&A on results and commentary
- Assist with process and control improvements

Requirements
- Insurance or reinsurance finance experience with Solvency II exposure
- Strong technical/regulatory reporting background
- Experience in quarterly close cycles
- Strong reconciliation and analytical skills
- IFRS/UK GAAP knowledge (IFRS 17 highly desirable)
- Lloyd’s/London Market experience desirable

Qualifications
- Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent)
