Description We are seeking an experienced Revenue Implementation & Technical Accountant (UK GAAP) to support the Group Reporting function during a critical period of accounting change. The role will play a key part in implementing new UK GAAP accounting standards effective from 1 January 2026, with a primary focus on revenue recognition.
Working closely with the Group Reporting Manager, Audit Team Lead, and Finance Transformation Manager, the you will provide technical expertise, ensure consistent application of standards across the group, and support a smooth transition for both internal stakeholders and external auditors.
Key Responsibilities Lead the assessment and implementation of new UK GAAP revenue recognition standards across the group. Review, interpret, and apply technical accounting requirements, providing clear and practical guidance to regional finance teams. Prepare and review technical accounting papers and supporting documentation for audit and internal governance purposes. Collaborate with Group Reporting, Audit, and Finance Transformation teams to align revenue implementation with wider group reporting processes. Support the development and enhancement of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with UK GAAP and group standards. Provide technical accounting support on other areas, including leases, purchase price accounting (PPA) adjustments, and revenue-related disclosures. Liaise with external auditors and advisors to validate technical positions and facilitate efficient audit processes. Deliver training sessions and knowledge-sharing workshops to finance teams on new standards and relevant technical topics.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent). Strong technical accounting expertise in UK GAAP, with a particular focus on revenue recognition. Proven experience in group reporting and/or technical accounting roles. Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply complex accounting standards in a practical business context. Experience preparing technical accounting papers and working closely with auditors. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work 2–3 days per week from the London Farringdon office. Desirable Previous involvement in revenue implementation projects or accounting change initiatives. Exposure to additional technical accounting areas such as leases, PPA, and consolidation. Experience working within a multinational or complex group structure. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
