Technical Accounting & Group Reporting Advisor
Duration: 12 months initially
Location: Pangbourne (near Reading)

Position Overview
This Technical Accounting & Group Reporting Advisor opportunity offers the chance to support a central technical accounting capability within a complex global organisation. The role is focused on high-quality IFRS application, group consolidation and external reporting, with strong exposure to complex accounting judgements and technical advisory activity. This position will suit a technically strong finance professional who is comfortable operating in a hands-on environment and partnering with senior stakeholders. The Technical Accounting & Group Reporting Advisor will play an important role in helping the company maintain high standards of financial reporting across a multi-entity business.
Role Context
This role sits within a global multi-entity environment and supports technical accounting and reporting activity across the organisation. The position is aligned to a complex international business with exposure to external reporting, consolidation and non-routine accounting matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical accounting support on complex and non-routine accounting matters.
- Support IFRS interpretation and application across the organisation.
- Assist with group consolidation and external reporting activities.
- Review and challenge accounting treatments and reporting decisions.
- Prepare technical accounting papers, position memos and supporting documentation.
- Partner with auditors and senior finance stakeholders on accounting issues.
- Support high-quality financial reporting across a global multi-entity environment.

Qualifications & Experience
- ACA or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
- Proven hands-on technical accounting experience.
- Strong IFRS interpretation and application expertise.
- Group reporting and consolidation experience.
- Experience supporting complex accounting judgements.
- Ability to challenge accounting treatments and provide advisory support.
- Comfortable working with auditors and senior finance stakeholders.
Desirable:
- Experience drafting technical accounting papers and position memos.
- Experience with complex, non-routine accounting issues.
- Experience in a global or multi-entity organisation.
- Background in accounting advisory within a large professional services environment.
- Experience in energy, oil and gas, FMCG, manufacturing, or other large multinational organisations.
