Technical Accounting Manager
Finance Manager – Technical Accounting Specialist
IRIS Software Group is a leading global provider of mission-critical software and services, supporting over 100,000 customers across 135 countries. We are now seeking a technical accounting specialist to join our Group Finance team as Finance Manager.
The Role
This is a key position within Group Finance, where you will act as the technical accounting lead, ensuring high-quality, compliant financial reporting across a complex, multi-entity international business.
You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders, including the Group Financial Controller, supporting M&A activity, complex transactions, and Group reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert guidance on IFRS accounting standards across the Group (including IFRS 3, 9, 15, 16 and IAS 36/38)
- Prepare technical accounting papers and policy documentation to support key decisions and audit requirements
- Lead the accounting for acquisitions, including purchase price allocation and integration
- Support the preparation of consolidated financial statements and statutory accounts
- Monitor changes in IFRS and ensure timely implementation across the business
- Partner with finance teams globally to enhance technical capability and consistency
- Act as a key contact for external auditors on technical matters

About You
- Qualified by a professional accountancy body: ACA, ACCA or CIMA
- Strong technical accounting knowledge (IFRS) required
- Experience within a large or complex group environment, preferably with exposure to a Big 4 or Top 10 consultancy firm
- Experience in M&A accounting and group reporting
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex topics into clear guidance
- Proactive, detail-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
