Ready to help bring one of the UK's most important energy projects into operation?

Do you enjoy solving technical challenges, working with specialist engineering teams and making sure complex activities are delivered safely? At EDF, Success is Personal. This is your opportunity to use your expertise on a project that will help power millions of homes with low-carbon electricity for generations to come.

The Opportunity

As a Commissioning Engineer within the Cross Functional Delivery Team, you'll play an important role in supporting the safe and successful commissioning of Hinkley Point C.

Working as part of the Technical Analysis Team, you'll provide engineering support across a range of disciplines, including Electrical, Instrumentation & Control (I&C), HVAC, Mechanical and Process Engineering. You'll help teams solve technical issues, review commissioning results and make sure activities meet safety and quality requirements.

Your work will help move Hinkley Point C from construction into operation, supporting one of Europe's most complex engineering programmes and helping Britain move towards a low-carbon future.

You'll be based at Hinkley Point C in Bridgwater, working alongside multidisciplinary teams at one of the UK's largest infrastructure projects. The role will initially be hybrid, with 2–3 days a week on site or at our Bridgwater office. As commissioning activities increase, you'll spend more time working on site.

This is a great opportunity to build experience across a wide range of commissioning activities. From reviewing test results and resolving technical queries to supporting procedure development and sharing operational learning, you'll play a key part in helping the station achieve operational readiness.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
