Technical Analyst

Technical / Quality Lead Role at Morrisons Manufacturing

Our Technical / Quality team plays a vital role at Morrisons Manufacturing, ensuring legal compliance from a food safety perspective. Our busy, high-demanding sites maintain intricate operating standards, keeping our Technical team actively engaged daily.

About the Role

Reporting to the Shift Technical Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Monitoring, controlling, and auditing the production process.
  • Ensuring conformity and non-conformity are communicated, followed up, and closed off.
  • Investigating food safety incidents by conducting root cause analysis and upholding daily site technical functions.
  • Supporting the site management team during external accreditation (such as BRC and Morrisons Manufacturing Standards).
  • Ensuring seamless support for site production during new product line launches.

  • A keen eye for detail and resilience,
  • Confidence to challenge with a proactive, results-driven approach,
  • A strong ability to be a team player, with excellent communication skills,
  • Familiarity with basic PC skills (preferably proficient with Google tools),
  • Food industry experience in a technical or related role,
  • Preference for a HACCP qualification or equivalent food safety certification.
