Help people live independently in homes that work for them as our new Technical and Compliance Officer in our adaptations team.

From wet rooms and specialist equipment through to larger home extensions, you'll take ownership of adaptation projects from start to finish – helping customers live safely, comfortably and independently in their homes. The role combines technical expertise, project management and stakeholder collaboration, with plenty of variety and the chance to see the real impact of your work every day.

We believe work is something you do, not somewhere you go, so if you're looking for flexibility, autonomy and a role where what you do really matters, we'd love to hear from you.

What we're all about

You might think of Yorkshire Housing as 'just' a housing provider, but we're so much more than that.

We make it possible for people to have a place they're proud to call home, and our adaptations team plays a huge part in that. Whether it's helping someone remain independent or making a home more accessible, every piece of work you deliver will make a real difference to a customer's life.

What will you be doing?

You'll manage adaptation works from initial customer consultation through to completion, making sure work is delivered safely, compliantly and to a high standard.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
