Responsibilities
Technical Support & Application Engineering
- Product Expertise: Provide pre- and post-sales support for soft starters, motor control and protection systems.
- Customer Applications: Review specifications, recommend optimal Motortronics products, and offer technical guidance.
- Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot queries, assist commissioning, and offer application advice.
- Customer Training: Develop and deliver technical training internally and for clients/distributors.
Sales & Business Development Support
- Team Collaboration: Work with sales teams to develop new business opportunities.
- Technical Presentations: Deliver expertise during client visits, presentations, and specs reviews.
- Key Accounts: Support relationships with OEMs, consultants, and global end-users.
- Technical & Commercial Pitching: Compile proposals, quotations, and project submissions for non-technical audiences.
Product & Market Intelligence
- Trend Monitoring: Track industry trends, competitor pricing, and new product developments.
- Customer Insights: Gather market feedback to inform business strategy and product roadmaps.
- Future-Proofing: Identify emerging market needs for new/improved products.

Product Management & Marketing Support
- Documentation: Review technical guides, case studies, and product literature for accuracy.
- Content Creation: Provide input for website content, launches and marketing campaigns.
- Brand Authority: Ensure technical precision across all product-related materials.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Cross-Department Cohesion: Work with teams to enhance customer experience.
- Record-Keeping: Maintain CRM records of customer interactions.
- Global Engagement: Travel domestic/international (primarily in EMEA) for events/sales visits.
- Innovation Drive: Contribute ideas to processamentoments and performance optimisation.
Experience & Requirements
Essential
- Qualification: HNC/HND/degree in Electrical, Electronic Engineering or a related field.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in industrial automation, motor control, drives, or protection systems.
- Technical literacy: Ability to interpret specifications, schematics and evaluate project feasibility.
- Communication:
- Fluency in verbal/written technical writing.
- Strong customer-facing and presentation skills.
- Organisational Skills:
- Self-motivated, structured time-management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- Travel: Willingness to regular international travel (EMEA region).

- Niche Expertise: Knowledge of low-voltage motor control, VFDs, MCCs or soft starter systems.
- Global Support Experience: Background in technical sales and international client collaboration.
