Technical Architect – Salesforce

Rate: £625 per day (Inside IR35)
Location: London (2 days per week)
Contract: 6–12 Months

Our client, a top global organization, is seeking a highly skilled Technical Architect to design and deliver scalable, secure Salesforce solutions across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and Experience Cloud. You'll work closely with business stakeholders, functional consultants and engineering teams to define technical strategy, architecture and implementation best practices across complex enterprise environments. You'll be responsible for the end-to-end technical architecture of Salesforce solutions, ensuring platforms are scalable, secure and aligned to business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead technical architecture across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and Experience Cloud
  • Design scalable, secure and high-performing Salesforce solutions
  • Produce architecture blueprints, data models and integration strategies
  • Define best practice around configuration vs customization
  • Provide technical leadership to developers across Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows and declarative development
  • Design Experience Cloud portals and customer communities
  • Architect integrations using REST APIs, SOAP APIs, middleware and Platform Events
  • Review code quality, performance optimization and deployment strategies
  • Drive CI/CD and Salesforce DevOps best practices
  • Lead technical workshops and mentor development teams

Required Skills & Experience

  • 8+ years Salesforce experience including 2+ years as a Salesforce Technical Architect
  • Strong expertise across:
    • Salesforce Sales Cloud
    • Salesforce Service Cloud
    • Salesforce Experience Cloud
  • Expert knowledge of:
    • Apex
    • Lightning Web Components (LWC)
    • SOQL / SOSL
    • Salesforce Flows
    • Salesforce DX
  • Strong experience designing:
    • Enterprise Salesforce architecture
    • Data models
    • Security & sharing models
    • API integrations
    • Event-driven architecture
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with external applications using REST/SOAP APIs and middleware (e.g. MuleSoft)
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Copado, Gearset, Jenkins and Git
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and technical leadership skills

Desirable

  • Multi-org or multi-cloud Salesforce architecture experience
  • Experience with CPQ
  • Enterprise integration strategy
  • Strong understanding of cloud security and governance
  • Salesforce certifications (Application/System/Technical Architect) highly desirable
