Technical Architect
Location: London, Manchester or Suffolk - Hybrid - 3 days per week onsite
Start Day: ASAP
Contract Rate: £500 per day inside IR35
Duration: 6 months initially
Clearance: SC clearance preferred, may consider SC eligible
Role Overview
Our client is seeking a Technical Architect to provide architectural leadership and technical assurance across complex Digital & IT projects within a highly regulated environment.
You will design and review solutions across cloud, infrastructure, networks, integration services, and application platforms, ensuring they are secure, scalable, reliable, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the lead design authority for technical solutions.
- Design and assure cloud, infrastructure, integration, and application architectures.
- Ensure compliance with architecture standards, governance, and security requirements.
- Work closely with business, IT teams, and suppliers to deliver sustainable technical solutions.
- Support architecture review and assurance activities.
- Drive integration planning across a multi-supplier environment.
- Identify emerging technologies and technical risks.

Essential Skills & Experience
- Extensive experience in Technical Architecture within large-scale, complex, or regulated environments.
- Strong expertise in enterprise architecture, cloud, infrastructure, networks, and integration.
- Proven ability to design secure, scalable, and cost-effective solutions.
- Experience providing architectural assurance for supplier-delivered solutions.
- Strong understanding of cyber security requirements.
- Experience working in multi-supplier environments.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- SC clearance or eligibility to obtain clearance.

Desirable
- TOGAF, ITIL, AWS, Azure, or GCP certifications.
- Experience in nuclear, energy, or other highly regulated sectors.
- Knowledge of emerging technologies and digital transformation initiatives.
Additional Information
- BPSS clearance required prior to contract start.
- In-person ID verification required in Gloucester or Warrington.
