The Role

The Programme Director is responsible for translating business strategy into compliant and sustainable delivery.

This position oversees end-to-end programme leadership, including planning, execution, communication, and delivery. You will collaborate closely with the Programme Sponsor, MRSG Executive Committee, and other key stakeholders to ensure goals, functional requirements, and benefits are attained within defined scope, time, cost, and regulatory boundaries.

Responsibilities

Role Accountabilities & Programme Ownership

  • Own end-to-end responsibility for successful programme delivery, ensuring all outcomes, milestones, benefits, and deliverables are met.
  • Maintain oversight of the integrated Programme Plan, aligning it with target operating model, business case, regulatory requirements, and implementation activities.
  • Ensure Day 1 compliance for the programme while managing out-of-scope or deferred functional requirements via a clearly structured roadmap for future phases.

Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership Collaboration

  • Partner intimately with the Programme Sponsor to provide insightful analysis, challenge assumptions as necessary, and drive informed decision-making throughout the programme lifecycle.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the MRSG Executive Committee (ExCo), delivering clear, timely, and transparent updates on progress, risks, dependencies, and required decisions.
  • Work closely with functional Leadership Teams to harmonise strategic objectives with market-specific needs.
  • Lead engagement with senior stakeholders across MRSG, Global Markets, Great Lakes, and Group functions, fostering collaboration and shared ownership of outcomes.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
