The IT Technical Architect is responsible for defining, evolving, and maintaining technical and data architectures that support IT products across multiple business domains, including but not limited to Engineering, Finance, operations, and Insurance.
The role ensures the delivery of high‑quality and resilient system designs that align business requirements with established architectural standards while maintaining system stability, performance, and scalability.

IT Business Application Technical Architect General Accountabilities:
Own and contribute towards new and ongoing initiatives in the development of business application and data solutions Provide technical leadership across distributed teams spanning multiple geographies, ensuring alignment on design patterns, coding standards, and delivery practices. Coordinate and develop technological architecture / technical architecture roadmaps and processes that ensure that application lifecycles are managed within the organization Oversee & Manage best practice implementation for system design in collaboration with Solution and Enterprise Architecture Capture and prioritize market and technology trends on a corporate level, review technical strategies and objectives, and identify the business benefits of alternative technical solutions Derive data management structures to support consistency of information retrieval, combination, analysis, pattern recognition and interpretation, throughout the organization Adhere to and promote corporate compliance and security standards minimizing opportunity for breach or compromise. Provide technical guidance, leadership, coaching and mentoring to resources on product team Work cooperatively and collaboratively with various delivery frameworks to deliver on strategies and designs

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience 5+ years of information systems experience, including 3+ years in technical and/or solution architecture roles Experience designing, developing and supporting systems that facilitate operational business processes Demonstrated experience designing enterprise IT solutions, SaaS platforms, and cloud‑based applications Working knowledge of legacy application architectures, design patterns, and development technologies Proven experience with systems integration in a development and technical leadership capacity, including digital strategy adoption and integrating current/future technologies to legacy platforms Conduct and facilitate design reviews, code reviews, and technical governance checkpoints to ensure quality and consistency. Strong technical foundation across Microsoft platforms, as well as other vendors. Preferrable experience in Inspection & Scheduling processes, Knowledge of regulatory requirements in insurance, reinsurance, or financial services preferred
Knowledge and Skills:
Strong understanding of system design, integration patterns, and architectural best practices Practical development experience across .NET ecosystems. Applied knowledge of database technologies, both relational and document Applied knowledge of APIs, data analytics, and digital transformation enablement Knowledge of Integration and storage Patterns, including Event handling and messaging systems. Working knowledge of Cloud environments notably Azure and / or AWS Working knowledge of traceability frameworks (Logging & Performance). Ability to evaluate system architectures. E.g. monolith vs microservices, scalability, resilience Proficiency with Agile and Kanban delivery models, including associated tools and techniques Hands‑on experience operating and supporting enterprise systems in complex, regulated environments Ability to work independently with full ownership of outcomes, while collaborating effectively within cross‑functional teams Strong organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities Proven stakeholder management skills, with experience influencing across global business and technical teams Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, negotiation, and decision‑making capabilities Clear, concise verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence decisions at multiple organizational levels Proficiency with productivity tools for documentation, analysis, and presentation development Demonstrated ability to quickly adopt and leverage new tools and technologies Strong grounding in usability principles and customer‑focused design
