At Leicestershire Police, we rely on robust IT infrastructure to support our operations. Our IT Technical Architect will play a pivotal role in ensuring performance, resilience, and availability of critical systems.
Key responsibilities:
- Investigating and resolving complex IT infrastructure issues, identifying root causes and implementing long-term solutions
- Driving service improvements by evaluating emerging technologies and industry best practices
- Supporting critical infrastructure services through complex installations, upgrades, and maintenance activities
You’ll be expected to:
- Primary residence must be within 90-minutes of Force HQ (Enderby, Leicestershire)
- Be on-call to resolve incidents and ensuring business continuity
About the Role
You’ll help force resilience by safeguarding our IT environment. We rely on your expertise to prioritise high-impact issues, minimise disruptions, and deliver reliable services that keep our organisation running smoothly—particularly in high-pressure scenarios.

Requirements
To apply for this critical role, the following experience and qualifications are required:
- Degree in a relevant technical field (e.g., computer science, IT, engineering), or equivalent professional experience at this level.
- Strong background in complex issue resolution, including troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Proven ability to implement and manage enterprise systems and infrastructure with an operational focus.
