Technical Architect
Role: Technical Architect rate (inside IR35): £590.00/day location: Remote clearance: Active SC Required [UK residence requirement for 5 years for eligibility]
About the Role
Our client seeks an experienced Technical Architect to drive forward a strategic Identity and Access Management (IAM) programme delivery.
Key purpose: You’ll shape long-term architectural improvements, ensuring solutions align with government strategy and technical governance frameworks, while enhancing identity standards via standards like OAuth, OpenID Connect (OIDC) + related tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement future-proof IAM solutions through modern authentication standards (OAuth, OIDC).
- Champion designs and strategies at technical governance forums, gaining sign-off and leveraging collective expertise.
- Articulate and justify complex technical decisions to a broad range of stakeholders.
- Oversee third-party systems/assurance, ensuring they align with governmental objectives.

Essential Skills & Experience
Technical & Strategic Expertise
✔ Active SC clearance verified (see residential requirement). ✔ Proven experience as a Technical/Enterprise Architect in high-complexity environments. ✔ Specialist expertise in modern identity & authentication frameworks (OAuth/OIDC). ✔ Strong service assurance ability – capability to enforce technical excellence while aligning projects. ✔ Demonstratable strategic influence over complex programmes.
