Technical Architect (Copilot)
Location: Uxbridge, Sheffield or Manchester. We are looking for a Technical Architect (Copilot) to join our Inside Cloud Advisory (ICAT) team – an advisory group spanning Security, AI, and Azure, with consultants based in the UK. In this role you will lead advisory and delivery engagements for Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Chat and Copilot Studio across EMEA. You will work closely with clients to envision use cases, run workshops and proof‑of‑concepts, and guide them through secure, real‑world adoption of Copilot in line with Microsoft’s vision. If you are a Microsoft 365 / Modern Work consultant with strong Copilot experience and enjoy working directly with customers and stakeholders up to C‑suite level, we would like to hear from you. So, if this is of interest to you then we would be keen to hear from you! ***This role we are offering is a Hybrid position; you will be expected to come into the office three times a week as part of your responsibilities. *** Key responsibilities: Deliver Microsoft‑funded and Insight‑led workshops and advisory engagements for: M365 Copilot, Copilot Chat, Copilot Studio and Copilot Agents. Modern Work and Copilot deployment/envisioning sessions. Lead customer‑facing sessions including: Envisioning and design workshops. Technical briefings, webinars, and hackathon‑style engagements. Design and planning sessions and follow‑up advisory calls. Translate customer business challenges into Copilot‑based solutions and clear recommendations, aligned to Microsoft best practice. Design and guide proof‑of‑concepts and pilot deployments for Copilot, including value realisation and adoption planning. Provide hands‑on support for Copilot configuration, agent creation, and integration into M365 environments (in partnership with delivery teams where appropriate). Advise customers on data access and security considerations for Copilot, including: Data security fundamentals and permission models. How to protect sensitive information when enabling Copilot. Support the full lifecycle of Microsoft‑funded engagements (ICAT / Modern Work Program): Eligibility validation, scoping, scheduling, and delivery. Ensuring compliance with funding requirements, POE, and Partner Centre submissions. Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders including IT leadership, security teams and C‑suite executives, clearly articulating Copilot value, risks, and mitigation. Collaborate closely with Sales, Pre‑Sales, Delivery Managers, and ICAT Operations to: Qualify opportunities and scope engagements. Provide regular status updates and ensure high client satisfaction. Maintain accurate documentation and reporting for all engagements, including outputs, KPIs and utilisation. Contribute to internal best practices, templates, and knowledge sharing, and support the onboarding and mentoring of junior team members. Stay current on Microsoft Copilot roadmap, Modern Work capabilities, licensing, and funding model changes. Key skills and experience required: Experience in Microsoft consulting, cloud advisory, or IT services delivery, with a strong focus on Modern Work / Microsoft 365. Demonstrable, hands‑on experience with: M365 Copilot, Copilot Chat and Copilot Studio (including building and managing custom Copilot agents). Designing and delivering advisory/workshop‑style engagements. Proven pre‑sales and consulting experience: Scoping client needs and defining outcomes. Explaining Copilot value to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders. Engaging confidently with IT leaders and C‑suite executives. Good understanding of data security and Azure / cloud security fundamentals as they relate to Copilot deployments (e.g., permissions, data access, information protection). Experience with Microsoft‑funded engagements (e.g., Microsoft Commerce Incentives, Partner Centre processes, Proof of Execution) is highly advantageous. Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to create executive‑ready presentations and clear customer documentation. Comfortable managing multiple parallel engagements across different clients and regions (primarily EMEA), with a structured and process‑driven approach. Experience working in or with Microsoft partners, advisory or professional services organisations. Nice‑to‑have certifications (or a commitment to achieve them with our support): Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ‑900). Microsoft 365 Fundamentals (MS‑900). Security certifications (e.g., SC‑900, SC‑200, SC‑300, SC‑400, SC‑401). Any Copilot or Modern Work–related certifications.
