Technical Lead – Policy Servicing | Insurance | London City - Hybrid

Invecta are exclusively partnered with a Global Specialty Insurer with a mandate to hire a Technical Lead to drive the technology strategy, architecture, and delivery for a major Policy Servicing / Policy Administration value stream within a global insurance environment.

This role is ideal for a senior technology leader with deep insurance domain experience, strong architecture capability, and proven hands-on delivery experience with Policy Administration Systems.

What you’ll do

You’ll provide technical leadership across policy servicing, policy administration, billing, renewals, claims and finance integrations, workflow, automation, and data-led decisioning.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Define and maintain the technical architecture roadmap for policy administration and operational workflow systems.
  • Lead the design and delivery of scalable, secure technology solutions across the policy lifecycle.
  • Drive modernisation, automation, integration, and operational efficiency across customer and policy servicing.
  • Partner with enterprise architecture, engineering, operations, business change, vendors, and delivery teams.
  • Provide technical leadership to internal and partner development teams.
  • Ensure solutions align with architecture standards, security requirements, regulatory expectations, and business outcomes.
  • Support continuous improvement across policy servicing processes, customer experience, broker experience, and operational decision-making.

What we’re looking for

You’ll need strong experience in:

  • Insurance technology delivery, ideally within specialty, commercial, or London Market insurance.
  • Extensive experience working with Policy Administration Systems, including configuration, customisation, upgrades, integrations, and ideally cloud deployments.
  • Policy administration, policy lifecycle, billing, renewals, servicing, workflow, document management, and operational platforms.
  • Technical architecture, cloud, microservices, APIs, integrations, data security, and enterprise design patterns.
  • Leading internal and outsourced technical teams.
  • Working with senior stakeholders across business, technology, architecture, operations, and third-party suppliers.

Essential experience

  • Experienced in technology development.
  • Specific focus on policy administration insurance systems.
  • Strong understanding of insurance processes, regulatory requirements, and policy management platforms.
  • Ability to translate business strategy into pragmatic, scalable technology solutions.

Desirable

  • Experience with AI automation, workflow tools, low-code platforms.
  • Lloyd’s / London Market integrations, billing and payments, and document management.
  • Experience operating in Agile-at-scale or structured delivery environments.

This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who can shape technology direction, modernise policy servicing capability, and deliver measurable value across a complex insurance landscape.
