Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with subject matter experts and project teams to create, develop, update, and maintain all forms of customer-facing technical documentation in parallel with the developing products.
- Take on responsibility for projects and work within the Technical Communication Team.
- Use structured authoring practices and tools to ensure documentation is accurate, clear, compliant, reusable, and translation-ready throughout the product lifecycle.

Key Accountabilities
- Create and maintain structured technical documentation using MadCap Flare, including topics, snippets, conditions, and variables.
- Apply controlled terminology and Simplified Technical English principles to improve clarity, consistency, and translation quality.
- Source and interpret information from engineering, product management, and test activities, ensuring technical accuracy.
- Validate procedures, instructions, and safety messaging with engineering representatives.
- Maintain robust version control and document traceability using internal document management systems.
- Produce documentation outputs that meet regulatory and internal quality requirements.
- Support translation workflow readiness by ensuring structured, reusable content.
- Collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams to influence and improve content quality.
- With minimal supervision prioritise workload, manage assigned tasks, and deliver accurate status updates.
- Demonstrate effective project management and reporting skills, including workload prioritisation, meeting deadlines, and providing clear status updates.
Skills/Experience
- Commercial experience in a similar role.
- Experience of using MadCap Flare or other specialist Authoring/publishing software.
- Adobe creative suite and/or CAD (technical illustration skills) would be advantageous.
- Communicate clearly and effectively, presenting technical information in a user-focused way.
- Work constructively with engineers and product specialists to gather accurate information and support project delivery.
- Build positive working relationships and adapt your communication style to the needs of SMEs, reviewers, and stakeholders.
- Apply structured authoring practices to maintain consistency, clarity, and regulatory compliance.
