Role: Technical Business Analyst (Patient Pathway)
Key Details
- Reports To: Director of Patient Pathway
- Remuneration: £65,000 per annum + £1,000 homeworking allowance
- Contract: Permanent, Full-Time (40 hours/week)
- Location: Home-based (UK residents required) with occasional UK travel for meetings
About the Role
As the Technical Business Analyst within the Patient Pathway team, you’ll bridge the gap between business needs, clinical goals, and technical delivery to enhance the end-to-end patient journey.
In this comprehensive remote role, you’ll: ✔ Translate complex business needs into clear, actionable technical requirements ✔ Collaborate with Product Owners, Engineers, Data Specialists, clinical teams, and operational stakeholders ✔ Ensure requirements alignment with strategic objectives, patient outcomes, and commercial goals ✔ Drive innovation by defining AI, automation, and digital workflow solutions
This is a home-based role with flexibility, occasional UK-based meetings, and a focus on delivering scalable, patient-centred solutions.

- Gather, analyse, and document business requirements to define functional and non-functional specifications
- Convert complex challenges into structured deliverables for development and technical teams

Agile Collaboration
- Work with cross-functional agile teams (Product Owners, Engineers, Data Specialists)
- Participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
Stakeholder Engagement
- Facilitate workshops with clinical, commercial, and operational stakeholders
- Ensure transparency and alignment between technical and non-technical audiences
Technical & Automation Focus
- Define requirements for AI, digital workflows, and automation solutions
- Identify operational efficiency improvements that enhance patient experience
Quality & Governance
- Support UX testing (UAT), risk assessment, traceability, and issue resolution
Requirements
Essential
- Proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst, specialising in digital and technology-driven transformations
- Strong background in Agile methodologies, working closely with Product, Engineering, and Data teams
- Demonstrated ability to define clear technical requirements (APIs, workflows, automation)
- Experience with AI-driven solutions, automation, and data analytics
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills in complex environments
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycles and best practices
Desirable
- Experience in healthcare, digital health, or regulated industries
- Familiarity with patient pathways or end-to-end service design
- Close collaboration with Product Owners in a product-led environment
