Technical Business Analyst – Corporate Functions Technology

Job Description
The Technical Business Analyst will partner with Finance stakeholders within the Corporate Functions Technology team. This role focuses on transforming complex finance business requirements into clear, actionable technical specifications while supporting finance transformation initiatives.
Key responsibilities involve bridging finance and technology Teams, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, regulatory standards, and operational goals.
Main Responsibilities
- Act as a critical liaison between Finance teams and technology delivery teams to ensure shared understanding of objectives and requirements.
- Lead the elicitation, analysis, and documentation of requirements for finance-related change initiatives, including:
- Business requirements
- Technical specifications
- Translate business needs into non-functional and functional specifications to guide system design, development, and deployment.
- Work with Finance stakeholders to map end-to-end processes, data flows, controls, and reporting needs.
- Drive strategic finance transformation programmes, including:
- System implementations
- Software upgrades
- Process improvements
- Collaborate with architects, developers, and testers to support solution design, development, and validation.
- Contribute to:
- Data mapping
- Reconciliation activities
- Impact analysis
- Support change governance, including:
- Scope management
- Dependency tracking
- Risk identification
- Assist in:
- User acceptance testing (UAT)
- Defect management
- Deployment readiness
- Promote consistent documentation standards, and best practice adoption across initiatives.

Key Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst or Technical Business Analyst in technology delivery
- Strong finance background, including expertise in:
- General ledger systems
- Financial reporting
- Budgeting
- Corporate financial controls
- Experience with enterprise systems, integrations, and data flows
- Ability to analyse complex business problems and communicate effectively with:
- Technical teams
- Non-technical stakeholders
- Strong documentation skills, including:
- Requirements writing
- Process flows
- Data definitions
- Experience working within structured delivery frameworks and change governance models
- Preferred: Experience with Oracle Fusion Finance modules
