Technical Business Analyst / AI Field Engineer

ace are partnering with a leading hedge fund to appoint a Technical BA / AI Field Engineer within a strategic technology function

This role will work closely with teams across operations and compliance, translating business requirements into scalable, real-world AI solutions and helping design and deploy them into day-to-day workflows.

The successful individual will play a key part in bridging business need and technical delivery, gathering and documenting requirements while also contributing to the design of AI-driven solutions. This is an initial contract engagement within a forward-looking, data-driven environment.

Please note this role is based in London

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside operations and compliance teams to gather, document, and translate business requirements into clear technical specifications
  • Identify, assess, and prioritise opportunities for AI-driven automation across existing workflows
  • Support the design and deployment of AI solutions, working closely with technical teams to ensure practical, measurable impact
  • Act as a bridge between functional and technical stakeholders, ensuring requirements are accurately understood and delivered against
  • Partner with stakeholders to test, refine, and roll out new tools, supporting adoption through training and ongoing engagement
  • Stay close to emerging AI developments relevant to financial services, feeding insights back into workflow design and prioritisation

Requirements

  • 3-4 years' experience post education, ideally within a technical business analysis, automation, or process improvement function
  • Academic background in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Experience within financial services, with exposure to automation, workflow redesign, or process improvement highly desirable
  • Strong requirements gathering and documentation skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
  • Experiencing designing and deploying AI solutions in financial services environments
  • Confidence articulating AI risk and governance best practice
  • Comfortable operating across both technical and non-technical stakeholder groups
  • Self-starting and comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
