Technical Business Analyst - Corporate Functions Technology

About the Role

The Technical Business Analyst will partner with Finance stakeholders within the Corporate Functions Technology team, driving strategic technology-enabled change. This role bridges the gap between complex finance business requirements and technical execution, ensuring seamless transformation initiatives.

The position demands non-technicalBusiness Analysts must liaise effectively with Finance teamsthe-teams and technical partners to align solutions with strategic objectives, regulatory needs, and operational efficiency.


Main Responsibilities

Stakeholder & Requirement Management

  • Act as a crucial liaison between Finance teams and technology delivery partners, ensuring shared clarity on goals, scope, and expectations.
  • Lead the elicitation, analysis, and documentation of business and technical requirements for finance initiatives.
  • Translatbusiness needs into functional and non-functional specifications tailored for technical design and development.

System & Process Delivery

  • Support end-to-end finance transformation programmes, including system implementations, upgrades, and workflow improvements.
  • Collaborate with Finance leadership to map processes, data flows, risk controls, and reporting requirements.
  • Work closely with architects, developers, and testers during solution design, development, and validation.

Data & Risk Leadership

  • Participate in data reconciliation, mapping, and impact assessments to mitigate risks.
  • Contribute to governance frameworks, tracking scope, dependencies, and risks across projects.
  • Assist with user acceptance testing (UAT), defect remediation, and deployment readiness activities.

Documentation & Standards

  • Maintain consistent documentation standards for requirements, process flows, and data definitions.
  • Ensure best practices are upheld throughout all initiatives.

Key Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

Essential

  • Proven Business Analyst or Technical Business Analyst experience in a technology-focused delivery environment.
  • Strong track record of partnering with Finance teams to deliver complex transformation projects.

Technical & Domain Expertise

  • Deep understanding of financial processes (e.g., general ledger, reporting, budgeting, internal controls).
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise systems, integrations, and data flows.
  • Ability to break down complex problems and communicate clearly across technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Frameworks & Tools

  • Experience working within structured delivery methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and change governance models.
  • Proficiency in documentation, including requirements specs, process maps, and data models.
  • Knowledge of Oracle Fusion Finance modules is a plusthe (preferred).
