Overview
We are seeking a Technical Business Analyst to bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, solid SQL skills, and proven experience working in Agile environments. You will collaborate with stakeholders, product teams, and Developers to deliver data-driven insights and business solutions.
Experience within the music or the music publishing industry is highly desirable.

- Gather, analyse, and document business requirements, translating them into functional and technical specifications, while leveraging AI-powered tools to improve efficiency and quality
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand business processes, pain points, and opportunities for improvement
- Identify opportunities to apply AI and automation to improve business processes and team efficiency
- Collaborate with engineering and data teams to design and implement solutions
- Write SQL queries to test and analyse data
- Use Python (where applicable) for data analysis, automation, or prototyping
- Support data validation, testing, and quality assurance processes
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives)
- Maintain and manage product backlogs, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Produce clear documentation, including process flows, requirements, and reports
Required Skills & Experience
- Demonstrable experience as a Business Analyst or Technical Business Analyst
- Strong experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Solid SQL skills (data querying, joins, aggregations, performance optimisation)
- Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with data analysis and reporting
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar
- Exposure to BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Quicksight, MicroStrategy)
- Strong understanding of how AI tools (such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, or similar) can be used to enhance business analysis, documentation, and productivity
Desirable Skills
- Experience in the music or music publishing industry
- Basic to intermediate Python skills (data manipulation, scripting, or automation)
- Experience with data platforms or cloud environments, especially AWS
- Knowledge of data modelling concepts
- Understanding of APIs and system integrations
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
