Technical Business Analyst

Location: Newcastle upon Tyne (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)
Salary: £40,000–£55,000

We're recruiting for a Technical Business Analyst to join a growing software delivery team, helping bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on large-scale digital transformation projects, translating business requirements into high-quality technical solutions.

The Role

As a Technical Business Analyst, you'll work closely with business users, developers, architects, and testers to gather requirements, analyse business processes, and ensure successful delivery of software solutions. You'll play a key role throughout the software development lifecycle, from discovery through to implementation.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Gather, analyse, and document business and technical requirements.
  • Produce user stories, process flows, functional specifications, and business process documentation.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Support Agile delivery through sprint planning, backlog refinement, and stakeholder workshops.
  • Collaborate with developers, testers, UX designers, and architects throughout project delivery.
  • Identify business impacts, risks, and dependencies across multiple workstreams.
  • Support testing activities including reviewing test scripts and assisting with defect triage.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
